Bargarh, Ap 6: In a vibrant effort to promote the Odia language and culture on the occasion of Odia Paksha, a special awareness campaign was launched in Bargarh district today. This initiative coincides with the ongoing Odia Pakhya celebrations across the state, which runs from April 1 to April 14, culminating with the Odia New Year.

The district administration, led by District Collector Mr. Aditya Goel, flagged off a specially decorated “Awareness Rath” organized by the District Labor Department. The campaign aims to spread knowledge about Odia language, culture, and heritage while encouraging shopkeepers and businesses throughout urban and rural areas to display signboards in Odia.

“This initiative will not only strengthen the visibility of Odia in markets, malls, and hotels but will also help preserve and advance the unique identity of our language and culture,” said Mr. Goel during the inauguration. The Rath will travel through various towns and villages of the district, creating public awareness and motivating citizens to embrace Odia in everyday commerce and communication.
