Nuapada, Nov 16: Newly elected Nuapada MLA Jay Dholakia is utmost delighted over his landslide victory in the byelection, in beating the prime oppositions BJD & Congress yet down.
Dholakia who was earlier in the BJD, recently conquered the tough battle representing BJP for the first time with a 83,748 stunning margin, for reportedly working on three key Mantras.
Jay was once upon a time working as a strategist for his father to manage the BJD district organization during the previous Assembly elections. However, he became a crowd puller in the recently concluded Nuapada byelection, to mobilize massive voters towards him, proving himself as an outstanding BJP pick.
Jay Dholakia magically garnered 1,23, 869 votes in the byelection conducted on November 11, which is 83, 748 more than the Cogress candidate Ghasi Ram Majhi. However, it was 85,461 more from the BJD, the regional party that ruled the state for over 24 years at a stretch in the Chief Ministership of Naveen Patnaik.
Following the declaration of the election result, Dholakia hailed the Nuapada people for their unwavering supports and humbly attributed his win to them.
Sharing his poll strategies, especially to reach out the people’s heart during the campaign, Dholakia said, his workouts for the Nuapada byelection were based upon three Mantras, that yielded green & good harvest for him.
In a special interview to the News7 during the joyful moments, Jay recalled the three very mantras that he worked out on, to amass locals in favour of him and the BJP government.
The three mantras according to Dholakia are, first-the double engine prospective of the BJP government, 2nd- assertion of futuristic developments of agrarians & district’s women community and, 3rd personal involvement & rappot with people.
Recounting his father’s glorious footholds on the Nuapada soil Dholakia said, “My father, late Raju Dholakia was a social worker who served people selflessly at their needs. He was affiliated to BJD later on the basis of his grass-root organization in Nuapada and true volunteerism. I kept up the legacy of my father, remaining involved with public works, above all addressing their needs and sorrows & sufferings.”
“After becoming the BJP face for the Nuapada bypoll, I went to people with the ‘Double Engine’ prospective. I convinced the people that the state government in collaboration with the Centre, will be instrumental to transform the unscripted, untrodden and under-developed Nuapada estate to a new height. The Mohan-Majhi-led Odisha government & the Union Government led-by Narendra Modi will take the responsibility of the new-Nuapada”, Jay added.
Apart from it Dholakia also approached people over the long standing issues of Nuapada farmers with the penury of its women community.He assured of ‘Good Days Ahead for Nuapada Farmers’ while he committed to boost up women empowerment ensuring self-reliance and entrepreneurships among the local women.
“I am overwhelmed with the stupendous moral support of the farmers and women of Nuapada who resolved for a better Nuapada, pledging their valuable votes to me. I will fulfil their dreams and desires, benignly working for the soil and its people, becoming a mere opinion leader”, Jay added.
Citing discouraging scores of BJD & Congress, Dholakia said BJD lost the Nuapada stronghold for its unethical electioneering
During an interaction with News7 reporter, Dholakia said that Nuapada was once upon a time a bastion of the Biju Janata Dal(BJD). However, BJD could not keep it up rather lost the goodwill in the recently concluded Nuapada byelection. The ace regional party, for its faulty dynamics and inadequate election management fell drastically, even fell much below the Congress.
Indicating towards, BJD’s nominee Snehangini Chhuria, who was fielded in the bypoll, Dholakia said, the Party descended to the third position for nominating an outsider, ignoring the viable aspirants, who had contributed lot to the organisation with their sweat & blood.
A befitting candidate from the Nuapada soil could have fetched more votes for BJD, Dholakia added.
Recalling his departed father Rajendra Dholakia & his selfless service, Jay said Raju Bhai was famous for his volunteerism. His affiliation and acquaintances with the BJD, brought good days for the people of Nuapada as he resolved vital problems of the locality during his tenure.
This legacy and signature of the BJD could have been encashed during the bypoll with a local face, in the fray, Dholakia added.
