Bhubaneswar, Feb 24: In the ongoing Sub-Inspector (SI) question paper leak case, around 12 of the accused had applied for bail and approached the High Court. However, all case records could not be filed on Monday. Among the accused, some are also involved in the High Court ASO (Assistant Section Officer) examination. Both cases are being investigated by separate agencies.

Due to the non-submission of all relevant documents, the next hearing has been postponed to February 26. High Court Justice Gauri Shankar has directed that the case will receive a full hearing on the rescheduled date.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested 16 individuals in connection with the SI question paper leak. The arrested include Vishwajit Harichandan, Loknath Sahu, Tafin Ahmad Khan, Muna Mahanti, Shankar Prusti, Bishwaranjan Behera, Arbind Das, Srikant Maharana, T. Abhimanyu Dora, Priyadarshini Samal, Suresh Nayak, Sagar Kumar Goud, Biranchi Kumar Nayak, Arjun Nayak, Nimai Charan Sahu, and Nitish Kumar.

Of these, 12 accused have applied for bail. Muna Mahanti, who is reportedly suffering from liver-related health issues, has been granted urgent bail. The bail applications are being handled by lawyer Ghanshyam Muduli.
