Bhubaneswar, March 14: With the Rajya Sabha election afoot, a mock polling was conducted in the Odisha Legislative Assembly on Saturday.

In the mock polling conducted in the afternoon, Legislators of ruling BJP and opposition BJD took part wherein they were drilled the essential procedures to opt for their deemed candidates.

The BJP Legislators, but Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari practiced on how to vote with utmost accuracy so that no vote will be rejected. Similarly, the BJD Legislators participated in the mock drill following a crucial meeting at the Naveen Niwas.

During the democratic formalities, the Assembly Secretary guided the newcomers on the electoral process elaborating on how to vote accurately.

Worth mentioning, a mock polling for Congress was organized in the Odisha Assembly earlier, to make the Legislators, especially the 1st-timers aware of the polling procedures.
