Bhubaneswar, May 19:In a significant breakthrough, Nayagarh police have arrested two more main suspects, Jaga Panda and Kullu Bhatta, in connection with the brutal murder of Ajit Sahoo in Nayagarh’s Odagaon area. With these arrests, the total number of apprehended accused in the case has risen to six.
Dr. Satyajit Naik, IGP of the Central Range, Cuttack, confirmed that all principal suspects involved in the case are now in custody.
Earlier, four individuals had been arrested by Nayagarh Police in connection with the killing.
A swift investigation led to the seizure of a sword allegedly used in the crime from Bhapur in Dhenkanal, along with the vehicle reportedly used during the attack.
The murder had sparked widespread tension in the region. Police officials said the prompt arrests and recovery of crucial evidence mark a major success for the Nayagarh Police in resolving this high-profile case.
