Mayurbhanj: Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV), Lakhmansahi, Khunta, in Mayurbhanj district, has invited offline applications for two Assistant Cook posts for its boys’ hostel.

Eligible candidates can apply for the contractual positions by sending their applications through Speed Post or Registered Post by October 27, 2026.

According to the recruitment notification, issued under Advertisement No. 300/OAVLAS/2026, the selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 6,750, inclusive of the employee’s and employer’s shares of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF).

Applications To Reach School By October 27

The engagement will initially be for one year.

The recruitment is open to male candidates aged between 21 and 32 years as on October 3, 2026, the date of advertisement. Applicants must be willing to stay in the boys’ hostel round the clock and should be familiar with the use of LPG. They must also maintain proper hygiene while preparing food and be capable of cooking meals on time. Candidates with formal training in cookery will be given preference.

Preference will be accorded to candidates from the local area. If suitable candidates are unavailable locally, applicants from the same block or nearby blocks may be considered. The notification states that candidates from outside Mayurbhanj district will not be recruited.

Local Candidates To Get Preference

Interested candidates must submit the prescribed application form along with relevant documents, including educational certificates and mark sheets, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, residential certificate, hostel management experience certificate, if applicable, and two passport-size photographs.

Applications must reach the Principal, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Lakhmansahi, PO Lakhmansahi, Block Khunta, Mayurbhanj, Odisha, PIN 757075, by 5 pm on October 27. The envelope should be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT COOK FOR BOYS HOSTEL”.
