Bhubaneswar, Nov, 18: Forgetting the defeat in the by-election to the Dhamnagar assembly seat, the ruling BJD is preparing its house. However, the number of ticket aspirants is increasing, which may pose trouble for the ruling party.

Dr. Sanjay Das, Dr. Nirakar Jena,  Satya Prakash Sethi, Rajendra Jena, Sanjukta Das, Debaki Das, and Avanti Das are major ticket aspirants in the party. In an unexpected move, the BJD may play the women's card again.

In the by-election last year, former MLA Rajendra Das did not get a BJD ticket and fought independently which was the main reason for the defeat of the ruling party. Although it is not clear where his moves are now, he is seen in various meetings and functions.

Among all this, there is a discussion in the constituency that party supremo Naveen Patnaik may once again repeat former MLA Mukti Kanta Mandal.

On the contrary, the BJP is continuing its efforts not to miss any opportunity to repeat the poll results. The party is all set to re-nominate sitting MLA Suryabanshi Suraj.

The Congress, which has a weak organization, has tried to improve its position. Abhishek Rout, son of former minister Jagannath Rout, is trying to mend the alliance by maintaining good relations with the old guard of Congress.
