Bhubaneswar, December 30: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has on Tuesday expressed grave concern following the circulation of a video showing an Odia youth being attacked with a sharp weapon in Tamil Nadu.

The Chief Minister assured the victim that they would receive the best possible medical treatment and that justice would be served.

Condemning the violent incident, Majhi emphasized that the Odisha government has taken immediate action and is actively coordinating with the Tamil Nadu authorities.

In a post on X, Majhi stated, “We are taking all necessary measures at the administrative level to ensure the victim receives the best care and that the perpetrators face severe punishment.”

He further reaffirmed that the safety and dignity of Odias, both within Odisha and outside the state, is of utmost importance. “The safety and self-respect of every Odia brother and sister working away from home are our top priorities. Our government is fully committed to their protection,” Majhi assured.
