Bhubaneswar, April 14: The Directorate of Primary Education has issued a notification for the transfer of primary school teachers across the state. Interested teachers can apply online between April 15 and April 30 through the designated portal.
As per the guidelines, transfers will be carried out both within districts and between districts, while the entire process is scheduled to be completed by July 18. Teachers from schools with surplus staff will also be shifted to institutions facing a shortage.
According to the notification, Block Education Officers (BEOs) and District Education Officers (DEOs) will update teachers’ profiles on the UAS portal by April 20. Applications will be verified by BEOs by May 10 and forwarded to DEOs, while inter-district transfer applications will be sent to the Directorate by May 20.
Teachers seeking transfer on medical grounds will be referred to a medical board between May 25 and 26, with reports expected by June 6. Medical certificates will be uploaded between June 10 and 11, followed by choice locking from June 17 to 19.
Meetings of district and state-level transfer committees are scheduled between June 29 and July 4, and transfer orders will be issued between July 8 and 10.
Transferred teachers are required to join their new place of posting by July 18.
Meanwhile, District Education Officers have been directed to submit data on teacher surplus and shortage to OSEPA by April 15. A committee will prepare the transfer list accordingly. Transfer guidelines will be issued by DEOs and BEOs on May 31, while the final list will be submitted to the Directorate and OSEPA MIS by June 10.
