​​​​​​​Puri, Oct 30: As devotees gear up to witness the sacred Radha Pada Darshan (holy viewing of Goddess Radharani’s feet) on Anla Navami this Friday, the Puri Police has issued a detailed traffic and parking guideline to manage the anticipated massive crowd at Sakhigopal.

According to police officials, separate parking arrangements have been made for four-wheelers, two-wheelers, and heavy vehicles to ensure smooth traffic flow. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter congested areas and must head directly to designated parking zones.

Traffic and parking arrangements:

  • From Bhubaneswar side: Light four-wheelers will proceed via Sakhigopal College Chhak, move towards Kotha Upara, and park near the BSNL ground. These vehicles must return through the same route.
  • From Sakhigopal Bazaar side: Four-wheelers will park near the railway level crossing and exit via Mahamaya Sahi towards the National Highway, near Reliance Mart.
  • From Alagum side: Heavy vehicles will be diverted through Banpur Chhak – Biraramchandrapur – Kadua Chhak before joining the National Highway. On Friday, heavy vehicles will be permitted only up to Sakhigopal Bus Stand.

Two-wheeler routes:

  • Two-wheelers arriving from Bhubaneswar will travel through Sakhigopal College Chhak – Basukera village and park inside the toilet complex campus.
  • Those coming via Sakhigopal Bazaar will park near the railway level crossing and exit through Mahamaya Sahi after darshan.
  • Two-wheelers from Alagum side will use the Sidhabakul parking area and return by the same route.
  • Devotees from Alagum side wishing to visit the market area will need to take the Sarugadia Chhak – Manitirisa Sahi – Senapati Sahi – Math Sahi – Maunei Temple route and return via the same path.

To assist devotees, Puri Police has launched 24-hour helpline numbers-112, 9438916348, and 6370967100- for any emergency or assistance.

In addition, the police department has released an AI-generated awareness video on all its official social media handles, illustrating the routes and parking areas through an interactive map for the convenience of pilgrims.

With lakhs of devotees expected to gather, authorities have urged visitors to follow traffic rules, cooperate with police personnel, and use designated parking facilities to ensure a peaceful and orderly celebration.
