Bairaguda, Mar 18: A human skeleton was recovered from the Sabari River in Badudi Hills under Bairaguda block, raising suspicions that it may belong to a missing pregnant woman.

The incident comes days after an earlier tragic incident in which Lalit, a local priest from Dandabadi, his wife, and two children went missing while fishing in the Badudi Hills. Previously, the bodies of Lalit and his daughter had been recovered, but after a gap of one and a half months, the skeleton has now been found in the river.

Upon receiving the information, the Bairaguda police, led by OIC Damburdhar Batria, sent a team from Koraput ODRAF along with a scientific team to the site to investigate and ascertain the identity of the skeleton.

Authorities are continuing their probe into the series of mysterious disappearances in the area.
