Nitish Kumar likely to be elected NDA leader ahead of taking oath as Bihar CM on Nov 20

Patna, November 18: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to be elected as the leader of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) on Wednesday, November 19, ahead of his swearing-in as the state’s Chief Minister for a record 10th term on November 20.

It is said that Kumar would first be elected as the leader of the JD(U) legislature party at 11 am On Wednesday.

Later in the day, at 3.30 pm, he will be chosen as the leader of the NDA. Following these formalities, Kumar will resign as the head of the outgoing government and submit his resignation to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.

As part of the process, he will also present a letter of support from all NDA alliance partners to the Governor, paving the way for the formation of a new government in Bihar.
