Boudh, Oct 17: Boudh district authorities have announced lucrative cash rewards to encourage the capture and surrender of Maoist insurgents. Posters offering these incentives have been displayed at multiple locations across the district, including Sigadi, Tilpanga, Udamunda, Matagadu, Khandikhanpa, Luharpada, Nalikumpa, and Palam. These areas fall under the jurisdiction of Baudh, Kantamal, Baunshuni, and Manmunda police stations.

A reward of ₹1 crore has been declared for information leading to the arrest of top Maoist leader Ganesh Uike. Additionally, a sum of ₹50 lakh each has been announced for five identified hardcore Maoists. The KKBN organization has also listed a total bounty of ₹4.3 crore for ten Maoist members.

The district police, under the supervision of SP Rahul Goel, initiated the campaign to counter the recent rise in Maoist activities in the region. Citizens are urged to report any information about these insurgents by contacting the dedicated helpline number 9437643839.

The posters not only highlight rewards for capturing Maoists but also appeal to the insurgents to surrender peacefully. It has been clearly stated that those who lay down their arms will be eligible for the announced rewards.

This move aims to strengthen law enforcement efforts and restore peace in Maoist-affected areas of Baudh district.
