Rourkela, Sept 27: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela in Odisha has outshined in global research academia. As many as 25 faculty members have been enlisted in the ‘Most Cited Scientists’ globally.
The noteworthy milestone of the Rourkela NIT scripted the record, as the prestigious Stanford University-Elsevier research survey has recognised 25 faculty members of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela among the top 2 per cent ‘Most Cited Scientists’ globally.
Stanford University-Elsevier research survey’s ranks the scientists in two categories –CareerLong Impact (1996-2023) and Single-Year Impact for 2023, whereas the Rourkela NITians proved their excellence in the field of scientific research.
While 15 faculty members from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela have been acknowledged for their long-term research contributions, 25 members of the faculty have been recognised for their research citations in 2023.
Of the glorious sceientists, as many as 13 faculty members of the institute have been ranked in both lists.
