Malkangiri, Nov 6: A Class X student of SSD Girls’ High School in Mathili block, Malkangiri district, tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances. The cause of her death remains unclear, prompting her family to file a formal complaint demanding an investigation.

According to reports, the student initially complained of eye pain and was taken to Mathili Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment. After being treated, she was discharged from the hospital. However, her condition worsened after having lunch as part of the mid-day meal programme at the school.

The student then began complaining of stomach pain and was readmitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite ongoing treatment, she succumbed to her illness. The hospital authorities have not provided a clear explanation for her sudden and untimely death.

In light of these unclear circumstances, the student's family has formally approached the Mathili police station, seeking a thorough investigation into the cause of her death.
