Donald Trump Jr. Arrives in India: From the Taj Mahal to a Royal Udaipur Wedding

The eldest son of US President Donald Trump has touched down in India for a trip that blends historical tourism with high-society celebrations. Donald Trump Jr. arrived in Agra on Thursday, landing at Kheria Airport on a private aircraft to kick off his itinerary with a visit to the world-renowned Taj Mahal.

This marks the first time Trump Jr. has seen the iconic marble mausoleum in person. Interestingly, his visit follows in the footsteps of his father and stepmother, Melania Trump, who famously toured the monument back in 2020. Trump Jr. isn't travelling alone; he is accompanied by a significant entourage comprising roughly 126 guests hailing from 40 different nations. To ensure a seamless experience, local administration in Agra has been working around the clock, clearing routes of stray animals and ensuring the city is spotless for the VIP convoy.

A Grand Wedding in the City of Lakes

Following his time in Agra, the focus shifts to Rajasthan. Trump Jr. is a star guest at a lavish wedding for an Indian-American couple in Udaipur. The "City of Lakes" is buzzing with activity as it prepares to host the two-day extravaganza on November 21 and 22.

The main wedding rituals are set to unfold at the breathtaking Jag Mandir Palace, situated in the middle of Lake Pichola, with additional festivities planned at Manek Chowk inside the City Palace complex. During his stay, Trump Jr. will be hosted at the ultra-luxurious Leela Palace.

Tight Security and Star-Studded History

Security has been ramped up significantly for this high-profile visit. An advance security team from the United States is already on the ground in Udaipur, coordinating closely with Rajasthan police to secure the airport and travel routes.

Udaipur has long been the go-to destination for India’s most glamorous nuptials. The city has previously hosted weddings and celebrations for stars like Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and the pre-wedding bash of Isha Ambani. With Trump Jr.'s presence, the city once again cements its status as a global hotspot for luxury celebrations.
