Colombo, November 30: Sri Lanka has intensified its relief and rescue operations following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah, which triggered severe floods, landslides, and widespread destruction. The cyclone has claimed the lives of over 200 people, with India providing vital assistance in the ongoing rescue efforts.

As of Sunday afternoon, the latest update from Sri Lanka's Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reported that the death toll had risen to 212, with 218 people still unaccounted for since the cyclone struck on Thursday. The storm has also impacted nearly one million individuals across 2,73,606 families, as per the DMC's figures.

The joint efforts of Sri Lankan authorities and Indian rescue teams continue to focus on reaching affected areas, providing relief to those stranded, and searching for survivors amid the devastation.
