Ranchi, July 19: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended a first-year MBBS student from the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi, in relation to the NEET-UG paper leak case. The student underwent questioning on Wednesday and was placed under custody on Thursday.
Rajiv Ranjan, the RIMS Public Relations Official, stated, "The student, a member of the 2023 batch, has been taken into CBI custody. Initially, the CBI sought preliminary information from the student through the administration. Subsequently, they returned for further investigation and proceeded with her arrest."
Ranjan further confirmed that the CBI had previously sought additional details from the medical institution and emphasized the administration's commitment to cooperate fully with the investigation. "The administration is prepared to provide any necessary information whenever approached by the CBI," he added.
Recently, the CBI also arrested four medical students from AIIMS Patna in connection with the same NEET-UG paper leak case.
