Navy ships sighted off Puri Coast as preparations begin for Indian Navy Day

Puri, Aug 10:  Indian Navy ships have been spotted between Digabareni and the lighthouse,for the celebrations, set to be held in Puri this year.

According to sources, these ships have arrived in Puri to begin practice sessions  for the upcoming event. The Indian Navy is also assessing the sea conditions to ensure that the celebrations are conducted smoothly and effectively

 Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff,  is expected to visit Puri today. During his visit, he will oversee the rehearsals and engage in discussions with the District Administration to finalise the arrangements for Navy Day. 

Tripathi, who was in Odisha at the Passing Out Parade of the fourth batch of Agniveers at INS Chilka on Friday, will now turn his attention to the upcoming celebrations in Puri, sources said..
