Bhubaneswar, Oct 13: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched various developmental projects under the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme for Puri and Nayagarh districts.
Patnaik launched 4130 projects worth Rs 134 crore belonging to Puri district. Likewise, 2924 projects of Nayagarh district worth Rs 97 crore were launched today.
These developmental programme will augment rural infrastructure leading to accelerated growth as well as help promote, preserve and protect Jagannath culture and traditions of Odisha.
The main objective of the scheme is to provide missing links to the existing small and essential projects and development of infrastructure and achieving empowerment of women, youth, bridging critical gap in education, digital and sports facilities.
There is a budget provision of Rs 4000 crore under the scheme from the state budget. The scheme will cover all Gram Panchayats in each block of the state with entitlement of Rs 50 lakh. The project cost will be between Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
The projects under the scheme will be suggested, recommended by local community, public representatives and other stake holders.
