Bhubaneswar, December.17: A Google AI Workshop will be a notable feature of the day-long Odisha AI Symposium being organised by the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University here on Thursday.

It will be a Live Demo on the subject ‘Beyond the Prompt: Decoding Google’s Agentic AI’ the speaker being Ajitesh Kumar, Senior AI and Cloud Architect at Google. Bijay Kumar Sahoo, Senior Regional Manager and Program Head (East) of National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) will be the moderator of the session.

Renowned national and international AI experts will be converging at the University to participate in the sessions & workshops like Transforming Science and Engineering, AI START-UPS/Agentic AI, AI in Agriculture, AI in Medicine, AI Ethics and Security, AI and Education to be held in the conclave.

The symposium is being organised with the objective of advancing the recently approved Odisha AI Policy and provide strategic direction to boost the state’s AI-driven growth.

The event is being organised by SOA in collaboration with the Odisha Society of America (OSA) and AI and HPC Centre of IIT Bhubaneswar. It will bring together eminent policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and key ecosystem enablers on a single platform to discuss how AI could be used in different sectors, including healthcare and agriculture.

It will feature keynote sessions by leading AI experts from India and abroad, thematic panel discussions with academia, industry, and policy think tanks,s and facilitate direct engagement with researchers, innovators, startups, corporates, and policymakers.

The symposium will also serve as an official pre-event for the India AI Impact Summit 2026, and SOA will be the host institution in partnership with Indian AI Mission (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India).
