Bhubaneswar, Sept 30: With the reports that came out on different media regarding CBI raid, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) denied of such an incident on Tuesday saying the CBI team’s presence at its corporate office was a part of routine audit.
The NALCO authorities issued a clarification overt the recent media reports that alleged recruitment-related irregularities-led CBI raid at its corporate office.
In an official statement, NALCO said, reports suggesting a CBI ‘raid’ and ‘seizure of documents’ relating a recruitment is misleading and factually incorrect.
The company clarified that the visit by CBI officials was part of a routine verification process, initiated in response to an unverified complaint, and aimed solely at reviewing the recruitment procedures followed by the organisation.
“With reference to the news published on 30.09.2025 regarding an alleged CBI raid at NALCO’s corporate office, we would like to clarify that the said report is not based on facts and presents a misleading picture,” the company stated.
“CBI officials visited the corporate office as part of a routine audit to verify recruitment processes. The visit was officially communicated to NALCO authorities, and no documents were seized, contrary to certain media claims.”
NALCO further emphasised that as a government-owned enterprise, its operations are routinely subject to scrutiny and audit by statutory and external agencies. The company reiterated its commitment to merit-based selection and adherence to all advertised conditions and policies that prohibit any form of discrimination or unfair practice.
“As a leading Public Sector Enterprise, we welcome an impartial scrutiny. Any objective review will confirm that our processes are transparent and merit-driven,” NALCO added.
