Baripada, Dec 12: The 11-day-long "Mayurbhanj Mahotsav," the largest cultural festival of the district and northern Odisha concluded on a grand cultural note on Thursday. The festival, which showcases the district's handcrafts, traditional foods, costumes, and folk music, has captured the essence of Odisha's rich cultural heritage.

Local tribal delicacies like "Leth," a traditional meat dish, along with Kaichatani and the famous Baripada mutton curry, served with rice roti, have been a major highlight, drawing huge crowds. The festival has been particularly appealing to the indigenous community, who cherish these authentic flavors.

A popular attraction at the event has been the "Selfie Point" themed around Simlipal, where visitors have captured memories amidst the scenic beauty. The artistic displays by renowned sand artist Dasarath Mohanty, based on the history of Mayurbhanj, have also been a major draw, leaving visitors mesmerized.

The final evening of the festival witnessed spectacular performances by Bollywood singers like Roop Kumar Rathod, Sonali Rathod, and Indian Idol singers, who entertained the audience with their sweet melodies. The grand finale also saw Bollywood star Bhagyashree setting the stage on fire, leaving the crowd in awe.

The Mayurbhanj Mahotsav continues to be a celebration of the region’s vibrant culture, arts, and traditions, offered a memorable experience to all who attended.
