Nabarangpur, Feb 11: Nabarangpur MP Ramesh Majhi sustained injuries after the car in which he was travelling in met with an accident in Umerkote area of the district late last night.
As per reports, the mishap took place at Dargaguda when the parliamentarian was returning to his residence at Umerkote from Raipur after conclusion of the Budget Session of the Parliament.
Sources said that a tyre of the ill-fated vehicle burst off following which the driver lost control over the wheels. As a result, the car skidded off the road and descended into a roadside bush.
Thereafter, Majhi was rushed to Umerkote Hospital and was discharged after primary treatment, sources added.
The driver and the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Majhi also sustained minor injuries in the accident.
