Mundali barrage water level stable, No flood risk at present

Cuttack, Jul 28: The second phase floodwater released from the Hirakud Dam is currently flowing through the Mahanadi River and has reached Mundali in Cuttack.

As of 7 am today, 5.24 lakh cusecs of water are being released into the Mahanadi through the Mundali Barrage. The water level is recorded at 88.50 feet at the upper side of the barrage and 85.60 feet on the lower side.

In response to the rising water level, authorities have opened 10 gates of the Mundali Barrage since Sunday afternoon to manage the flow and facilitate irrigation. Officials continue to monitor the situation closely as water discharge from Hirakud Dam progresses downstream.
