Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today appealed to the public not to visit his office to convey New Year 2026 greetings, stating that January 1 is a regular government working day and official work will continue as usual.

The Chief Minister said his office would function normally on the first day of the New Year and requested well-wishers to avoid courtesy visits that may disrupt official work.

He also urged government employees to refrain from participating in greeting programmes during office hours and to focus on their official responsibilities.

The Chief Minister further requested those wishing to extend greetings at his official residence not to bring gifts or bouquets, stating that their goodwill and blessings were more than sufficient.

On the occasion, Majhi extended New Year greetings to the people.
