MoU signed for strengthening medical facilities at Puri Police Hospital

Puri, April 1:In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services for police personnel and the public, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed in presence of IG, Central Range, Dr Satyajit Naik and SP Puri, Prateek Singh.

The initiative aims at reviving and strengthening medical infrastructure, particularly physiotherapy services, at the Police Hospital.

The MoU has been executed between Puri Police (First Party) and Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital (Second Party), Bhubaneswar, with a shared commitment to improving healthcare delivery and ensuring better medical facilities.

With the Agreement inked today, the physiotherapy unit at the Police Hospital, which had remained underutilized due to a shortage of trained professionals, will now be restored and effectively managed.

Puri Police will provide necessary infrastructure, including space, equipment, electricity, and water facilities. The associated utility costs will be borne by Puri Police.

Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital will manage the physiotherapy unit with its own skilled personnel on a service-oriented basis.Puri Police will provide free accommodation to the deployed hospital staff.

The hospital will depute qualified physiotherapists and nurses on a regular basis. They will not only provide treatment to police personnel but also assist in training the existing staff of the Police Hospital.

During festivals and special occasions, hospital staff will actively participate in health camps organized by Puri Police, extending medical services to the general public.

IG, Central Range, said this collaboration marks a progressive step in prioritizing the health and well-being of police personnel and their families. It also reinforces the commitment of Puri Police towards community welfare by ensuring access to quality healthcare services.

The initiative is expected to significantly improve physiotherapy services and strengthen the overall medical support system within the police establishment.
