Bhubaneswar, Sep 4: 'Better late than never'. This seems to be the right description of fresh spell of monsoon rains in Odisha.
After scanty rain in June, the amount of rainfall was somewhat satisfactory in July. But the in August, it was again much less than the average in the corresponding periods. However, the first few days of September has brought some solace to the rain-desperate coastal state.
The amount of rainfall across Odisha in the first three days of September has been much better than what it was in the last week of August, statistics implied.
However, on Monday, the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD)'s regional centre, here has predicted more rain for the state in the next four days.
The IMD also issued Orange Warning for seven districts of the state and Yellow Warning for 15 other districts, as a low pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours, revealed the weather bulletin on Monday.
