Member states subsequently ratified the Delhi declaration, formalising an explicit rejection of terrorism and unilateral military hostilities. PM Modi praised the diplomatic outcome, remarking that the session proved positive and productive without a single dissenting voice. Pushing greater influence for Developing Nations
Opening discussions focused on restructuring international governance to grant emerging economies direct influence over global policy choices. President Putin arrived in the national capital early Friday morning, while President Xi landed later on Saturday afternoon to join the high-level talks.
Bilateral discussions took priority alongside the multilateral roundtables. PM Modi met President Putin on Friday evening, reviewing trade, energy, space, defence, and talent mobility. Addressing active hostilities in the Black Sea region and the Middle East, PM Modi maintained that direct dialogue and diplomatic engagement offer the sole pathway to durable peace. Meanwhile, President Xi warned fellow leaders that escalating conflicts in West Asia damage global stability. PM Modi and President Xi held scheduled evening talks focused squarely on restoring stability along the Line of Actual Control and expanding bilateral economic ties.
