Bhubaneswar, January 8: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President and former Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, showed his concern over the bomb threats received at multiple district courts in the state, calling for a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

In a post on X, Patnaik emphasized the critical importance of ensuring the safety of judicial institutions and the public.

"I am deeply troubled by the bomb threat emails received at the district courts in Sambalpur, Cuttack, and Deogarh," Patnaik stated. "The safety of judicial institutions, including judges, lawyers, court staff, litigants, and the general public, must remain our top priority."

Patnaik urged authorities to conduct a swift and thorough investigation, stressing the need to identify the source of the threats and the individuals behind them. "I call for a swift, detailed investigation into these threats, with the findings being made public," he added.
