Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: ‘Gyana Sanskar’, the training program meant for MLAs has been inaugurated here on Saturday.
Inaugurating the training session, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said the two-day “Gyan Sanskar” program aims to equip elected legislators with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively represent their constituency and contribute to the integral development of the state.
Lessons imparted here by the experienced parliamentarians will help strengthening democracy and good governance, said he.
Expressing his past experience in the Odisha Legislative Assembly Majhi said that while he was a newcomer to the Assembly he had acquired functional knoledge regarding his roles and responsibilities only from a training session.
“The first and foremost duty of an elected legislator, leader and an MP is to understand the basics of Indian Consitution and adhere to its provisions to serve people as an elected representative,” Majhi added.
