Bhubaneswar, December 17: Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Bhubaneswar, celebrated its annual function, “NAVARANG 2025,” on December 15, 2025, at the IIT Bhubaneswar campus auditorium. The event was a vibrant display of academic excellence, artistic talent, and school spirit, marked by a grand ceremony that left a lasting impression on all attendees.

The function began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest, Prof.Hirendra Nath Ghosh, Director of NISER. In his inaugural address, Prof. Ghosh encouraged the students to pursue meaningful achievements in their lives and emphasized the importance of scientific progress over the years. He underscored the need for hard work, determination, critical thinking, and ethical values, stressing the significance of respecting parents and teachers. Prof. Ghosh urged the students to embrace challenges, follow their passions, and strive for excellence in all endeavors.

The event was graced by Prof. V. Pandu Ranga, Dean of Continuing Education at IIT Bhubaneswar, VMS nominee Chairman of KV IIT, BBSR, who attended as the Guest of Honour. He addressed the gathering, advising students to contribute to nation-building as responsible citizens of India. He also encouraged them to explore the vast potential of artificial intelligence and the scientific world.

Chakradhar Prushty, the Principal of the school, presented the annual report, celebrating the school’s numerous achievements and success stories over the past year. The students’ dedication and hard work were highlighted as sources of inspiration for future generations.

The function featured an impressive range of performances, including songs, dances, skits, and recitations by students from Balvatika to Class 10. Each performance demonstrated exceptional talent, captivating the audience and showcasing the students' creativity and commitment.

The event was attended by members of the School Management Committee, parents, teachers, staff, and students, all of whom witnessed the celebrations with great enthusiasm. The function concluded with a ceremony to felicitate students for their outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements. Prizes were awarded to those who excelled in various fields, further motivating the students to continue their pursuit of excellence.

Miss Subhra, Teacher of the school, delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the memorable event to a close. The celebration of “NAVARANG” was a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on everyone present.
