Sambalpur, March 26: Some unidentified miscreants allegedly hurled bombs at a motorcycle parked near Pirbaba Chhak under Town police limits in Sambalpur town today evening.
Two persons sustained injuries in the incident, said police.
However, the reason behind the attack has not been ascertained yet.
Sambalpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo and Northern Range IG Himansu Kumar Lal reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident.
“We have received information that a motorcycle parked near the Masjid at Pirbaba Chhak has exploded. Two persons were injured but are out of danger now. The situation is under control and a detailed probe is underway,” the Sambalpur SP said.
