Angul, Oct 18: The miniature Dhanu Jatra, organised by the Khandahata- Pipal Bahal Gaja Laxmi Puja Committee at Kishorenagar in Angul district was shortly wrapped up with a positive note.

While, the mythological phenomenon of ‘Mathura Mangala, and ‘Kansa Badha’ were played in the climax, Royal Invities of the Dhanu Yatra with the commanding order of the King Kansa, felicitated some prominent persons of the locality, valuing their significant contributions to the greater society.

Among others, senior journalist Sanjay Kumar Dash was felicitated and awarded, for his bold, impartial and development journalism that brings allround development in the vicinity.

Dash, who has been associated in many renowned newsrooms in Odisha as a special correspondent, was handed over the memento, citations and accolades by MLA, Pallahara Ashok Kumar Mohanty, accompanied by Angul district BJP chief Jajati Keshari Pattnaik, who were among the royal invitees.

Similarly, journalist Parikhita Sahu, a regional reporter was also recognised by the guests, as a scribe to highlight local and social issues persistently as a passion.

During the valedictory session, some premier members and office bearers of the Puja Committe was recognised  by King Kansa and his prime imperials.

Ace poet & storyteller Sangram Keshari Prusti who performed as a jester and moderator during the open-air theatre was also recognised for his vital role in the entire show.
