Bhubaneswar, July 24:In a comprensive effort to ensure delivering efficient public services, the Odisha government on Wednesday effected a minor reshuffle among the IAS Officers.
As many as 11 IAS Officers were assigned new responsibilities, with an order issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department of the Odisha Government this evening.
According to the notification,, Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, IAS (RR-2005) has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Co-operation Department.
He will continue to hold additional charges as the Special Secretary, Housing & Urban Development & Chairman, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.
Dr. Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya, IAS (RR-2009) who continues as Director, Odia Language, Literature & Culture will also remain in charge of Secretary, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.
Samarth Verma, IAS (RR-2011) has been appointed as Director, Minor Minerals, Bhubaneswar.
The post is now elevated to the level of Additional Secretary, the notification read.
Similarly, Deepankar Mohapatra, IAS (NSCS-2014) has been Appointed as CEO, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha.The post is declared equivalent to Joint Secretary, according to the notification of the GA&PG Department.
Worth mentioning, the GA&PG Department of the Odisha government on Tuesday had reshuffled positions of as many as 49 senior IAS officers.
