Minor boy falls off Durg-Puri Express, rescued after stranded overnight in deep forest

Sambalpur, Sept 4: A minor boy was rescued by the RPF hours after he fell off the Durg-Puri Express on Wednesday.

The minor boy identified as Pritish Pragya Hota (8 years), was admitted to the hospital for treatment. 

The incident took place near Odisha’s Rairakhol station at late night on Teuesday.

As per reports, Pritish was travelling along with his father Manas Hota and others from Raipur to Bhubaneswar in the Durg-Puri Express.The kid accidentally slipped from the Durg-Puri train and fell off the running train while going to the bathroom, without any escort of the family members. Subsequently the lone kid got stranded in a deep forest throughout the night. 

After hours, the kid’s father alerted senior officials regarding the incident, on finding the kid nowhere in the train. Meanwhile, a driver of a goods train alerted RPF on Wednesday after he spotted Pritish lying near the railway tracks, presuming it to be a kid’s body. Later, the search team found Pritish lying on the spot in a terrible condition while he was shivering in fear.

The kid’s family members were rejoiced to discover their lad on the medical bed, after a new lease of life.
