Balasore, Feb 21: A man was tragically killed in a road accident in Balasore on Saturday when a rice-laden truck ran over a bike near Dandika Chhak, under the Basta police limits. The truck, which was heading towards Balasore, was carrying sacks of rice from West Bengal when it collided with the bike.

The impact of the collision was severe, with the truck dragging the bike for some distance before it became trapped in the truck’s tire. The rider of the bike died on the spot, though his identity remains unknown at this time.

The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. Upon being notified, police arrived at the location, seized the body, and launched an investigation into the incident. Efforts are underway to locate the absconding driver and determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
