Mimi Chakraborty, Urvashi Rautela summoned by ED in 1xBet betting app probe

New Delhi, Sep 14: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned former Trinamool Congress MP and actress Mimi Chakraborty in connection with an ongoing money laundering investigation linked to the illegal betting platform 1xBet, sources said on Sunday.

Chakraborty has been asked to appear at the ED headquarters in Delhi on September 15.

The case revolves around alleged financial irregularities and money laundering tied to the operations of 1xBet, an online betting platform with global reach. The ED has already questioned several high-profile individuals—including cricketers and film personalities—in connection with the case.

According to ED sources, actress Urvashi Rautela has also received a summons and is expected to appear before the agency on September 16.

Earlier, former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was grilled by the ED regarding his association with the app. He was questioned extensively in Delhi about his advertising agreement with 1xBet, a platform he reportedly endorsed in promotional campaigns. Another former Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina, was also recently summoned and questioned in the same case.

The 1xBet India website claims to offer various sports betting services, including games like Aviator, online casino slots, and betting options for cricket, football, tennis, basketball, and e-sports.
