Hyderabad, Nov 22: While, the Home Ministry of India is for eradication of Naxalism from India by March 2026, Maoists operations in states have been heightened.

Panicked over it, at least 37 Maoists surrended before the Telangana Police on Saturday and resolved to return to the mainstream for good.

The militants reportedly laid down their arms & ammunition before the DGP Telangana today.On the other hand,they were settled under the surrender policy of the state.

According to reports, Koyyada Sambaiah alias Azad (49), and Appasi Narayana alias Ramesh (70), Muchaki Somada alias Erra (42), State Committee Member in DKSZC who were carring rewards of Rs 20 lakh each, have also surrendered.

Seven of the 37 cadres who surrendered before the DGP today handed over eight firearms including an AK 47, two SLRs, four .303 rifles and a G3 rifle along with 346 live ammunition of various calibres.
