Bhubaneswar, Sep 12: In the next two days, at least six districts of Odisha would receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. In some places the downpour is likely to be extremely heavy, warned Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) on Tuesday.
The IMD regional centre, here predicted that due to prevalent monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, several parts of Odisha are likely to receive heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in the next two days.
As per the forecast, on Wednesday, thunderstorm and lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places in as many as 22 districts of the state. The districts that are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall are - Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Bolangir and Kandhamal, the IMD prediction revealed.
