Bhubaneswar, Mar 16: The Mendhasala Police Outpost has been upgraded to the Industrial Estate Police Station. A total of 34 additional posts will be created for the new police station.
A proposal in this regard has been approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
The 34 new posts that will be created for the police station include one Inspector, four Sub-Inspectors (SI), six Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI), two habildars, and 21 constables.
A proposal in this regard has been approved due to the presence of many educational institutes and industrial estates like IIIT, NALCO R&D Centre, Birla Global University, GIET.
The new police station will cover four gram panchayats and one ward of BMC in an area of 150 square kilometers and a population of one lakh.
