Bhubaneswar, June 10: Admission to 100 MBBS seats will be held in the new Government Medical College and Hospital (MCH), Jajpur, from the 2024-25 academic session.
The health and family welfare department has obtained permission from the National Medical Commission (NMC) to start admission in the medical college from this session.
Two new medical college and hospitals have been constructed in Kalahandi and Jajpur districts through fund sharing between the Centre and state.
The Kalahandi medical college started admission for MBBS seats last year and the Jajpur MCH will begin the admission for 100 seats this year, said a senior official of the health and family welfare department.
There are 2,400 MBBS seats in Odisha, including 1,550 in the 11 government medical colleges, 350 in three private ones and 250 each in two deemed to be universities in Bhubaneswar.
