Jatani, August 30: The third day of the famous Jatani Ganesh Puja witnessed massive crowds as over 300 Puja mandaps across the town celebrated Lord Ganesha with grandeur. Beautifully crafted idols, vibrant lighting, and decorative setups have drawn large numbers of devotees.
Key locations such as Raja Bazar, Badabazar, Kudiari Bazar, Sitaram Square, and others saw heavy footfall in the evenings. This year’s highlights include elaborate light displays, 10 Yatra parties, 3 Meena Bazaars, and various cultural programs.
The 12-day celebration, from Ganesh Chaturthi to Purnima, is being observed with great enthusiasm. To ensure safety and order, the Commissionerate Police has deployed an ADCP, 4 ACPs, 4 Inspectors, over 50 officers, 12 platoons of force, 160 Home Guards, and 20 women police. Plainclothes officers are also stationed at major mandaps to manage the crowd and maintain security.
