Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: A major road accident took place in Bhubaneswar on Sunday when a car crashed into a barricade on the Shishu Bhavan overbridge and plunged down from the flyover. The incident caused significant panic in the area, but miraculously, the driver of the car survived with only minor injuries.

According to eyewitnesses and sources, the vehicle lost control while navigating the overbridge, rammed into the barricade, and then plunged off the flyover. The car then collided with a tree below before landing on the roof of a nearby house. The violent impact sent shockwaves through the surrounding area.

Fortunately, the driver, who has been identified as a local resident, narrowly escaped the accident without life-threatening injuries. He was promptly rescued from the wreckage of the car and is said to be in stable condition. No other casualties were reported in the incident.

The accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Capital Police Station, who arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the alert. Police officers have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
