Bhubaneswar, September 18: The agitation of the Primary Teachers’ Federation has been called off on Monday.

General Secretary of the Federation, Charulata Mohapatra announced it in the afternoon and asked the teachers to join their schools from the Ganesh Puja.

While interacting with the media persons, Mohapatra said, owing to the academic loss of the students and the sufferings of the parents, the mass agitation of the teachers’, continued from over one week, was withdrawn after positive discussion with the School and Mass Education and Finance Department.

Worth mentioning, primary teachers from across the  state were resorting to mass leave and mass agitation in their respective blocks and district Education Offices for the last week demanding a 10-charter demand. As a result, class-room teaching in almost every primary school was badly hit whereas at least 30 lakh students were left out of school during the impasse.
