Talcher, Nov 19: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the temporary cancellation of several trains this week to facilitate safety-related modernization works in the Talcher–Talcher Road section. The cancellations are part of the ongoing construction of a Rail Overbridge (ROB) at the Chainpal level crossing gate, located under the Khordha Road division.
To ensure the safety of passengers during the construction, the following trains will be cancelled:
On 19 November 2025 (Wednesday):
Train No. 18125 Rourkela–Puri Express
On 20 November 2025 (Thursday):
Train No. 18126 Puri–Rourkela Express
Train No. 22839 Rourkela–Bhubaneswar Intercity
Train No. 22840 Bhubaneswar–Rourkela Intercity
Railway authorities have requested passengers' cooperation during this temporary disruption, assuring that the ongoing modernization work is crucial for improving safety and efficiency in future train operations.
