New Delhi, Aug 29: Shooter Manu Bhaker was the only Indian sportsperson to win double medals in the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024.
In addition to her heroics in the Paris Games, Manu also hit headlines for her recent revelation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had once told her when she was only 16 that she will do well in future.
Apart from the medals and laurels in Paris, Manu's meeting with India's star athlete Neeraj Chopra during the Games 2024, was discussed widely in the press and social media. The two reportedly had a good camaraderie.
The double Bronze medal winner of Paris Games (Manu), was asked during one of her recent interviews about the sportspersons she would like to spend a day with.
But her list of sports persons had no mention of Neeraj Chopra. Rather Manu named superstar cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni.
In Manu's list of overseas sportspersons, the name of sprint king Usain Bolt did emerge. However, Neeraj missing from the list of her preferred sports icons she would like to spend a day with certainly surprised many.
