Nabarangpur, Nov 13: A man has been thrashed over black magic in Nabarangpur on Saturday. The incident came to the fore in Beheramunda village under Chandahandi police limit when a man sought police aid regarding his safety and security. The victim, Brajanath Pandey has lodged a complaint with Chandahandi police seeking safeguard of his family. The complaint read, one Lavanya Pandey of the same village encountered serious health problems with her whole family. She suspected that Brajanath applied black magic with her family in order to harm her. Aggrieved over it, Lavanya along with some of her fellows violently thrashed Brajanath and allegedly polished stool throughout his body. Following this, he sought police assistance anticipating further attacks on his family members. FIR has been lodged.The investigation is underway. Action against the offenders, as per law will be taken, said police.
