Boudh, July 26: In a tragic incident, a man brutally killed his elderly father-in-law over a family feud at Palasagara village in Odisha’s Boudh district on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Beda Bagha (60).
According to the sources, the accused, Mamudhana, frequently returned home intoxicated and verbally abused other family members. On the day, Mamudhana had a confrontation with Bagha over an unspecified matter. Subsequently, in a fit of rage, Mamudhana attacked father-in-law with a stone left him injured. Neighbors intervened and rushed Bagha, who was in critical condition, to the nearest hospital for immediate medical attention.
However, Bagha succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
Being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body and started a search operation for the accused who reportedly fled from the spot after the crime.
