Karanjia, Oct 19: A man allegedly hanged his wife to death following a heated argument in Jashipur area of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district late last night.
The incident has been reported from Tikarpada village under Jashipur police limits in the district.
As per reports, a heated exchange of words ensued between the couple over a suspected family feud last night. It later took an ugly turn when the accused started thrashing his wife and later hanged her from a tree.
On getting the information, police rushed to the spot and brought the body down. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
The cops have also detained the accused for questioning.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
